National Space Organization (NSPO) and Slovak Space Office Joint Workshop

DATE: March 24^th (Thursday), 2022

Purpose:

In order to bridge the international cooperation between Taiwan and Slovakia in Space Technology and Industry, the joint workshop is initiated to match potential partners in the mutual interested areas on two topics.

Topic 1: Remote Sensing Application/ Earth Observation (EO)

In this topic, the utilization and augmentation of existing European EO infrastructures (e.g. European Open Science Cloud - EOSC and Euro Data Cube) will be discussed to facilitate the EO application cooperation. Earth observation include satellite remote sensing image and radio occultation data. Then, different thematic topic applications, e.g. Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Action, Disaster Risk Reduction, and etc. will be presented by participants of each side. Additionally, the technology and applications of GNSS are included.

Topic 2: Spacecraft Components/ CubeSAT Technology

In this group, the capabilities on the manufacturing, development and research of spacecraft EEE parts, components, technology and Cube Satellites will be introduced and exchanged from Taiwan’s and Slovak space industries.  The potential cooperation will be discussed and initiated.
